Full course description
Hello and welcome to our open-access short course about living and working with pain. This course is designed to give you an introduction to thinking about different definitions and concepts of pain, and how occupational health relates to living with pain.
The course is delivered through a mixture of reading and videos, and there is a short test at the end to assess your understanding. In total the course should take about 1-2 hours to work through.
By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Define the scale of the burden that musculoskeletal pain and conditions have on the global workforce
- Demonstrate the impact of living with pain and on a person’s physical, mental and social well-being
- Identify the different employment-related rights and support available to people living with musculoskeletal pain and conditions
