Full course description
We are going to study modules on whipworm, schistosomes, hookworm, roundworm, Echinococcus and guinea worm. Each module may take between one and two hours to complete. When you have completed the course, you should be able to:
- Describe six common parasitic worms in terms of their life cycles, how common they are and where they exist
- Describe the main symptoms of disease caused by each worm, and main control strategies
- Describe the routes of infection and discuss possible approaches to prevent infection
This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in Neglected Tropical Diseases.
